Global Health and Women’s Rights Advocate. Passionate about working with young girls and women in making positive changes in communities. She has worked as an advocate and activist at the intersection of meaningful youth participation engagement, human rights, gender equality, and maternal health, Reproductive Health and Supplies (RHS) and Menstrual Health Hygiene (MHM).
She is passionate about making sure girls and women access their rights to decide, free to choose their lives and future. She works collaboratively with others such as religious leaders, traditional leaders and elders in bringing changes in the communities.
Obsessed with Community Participation Centered Design, Adolescents and Women-led Approach to bring results at the Centre and heart of the people in communities.
Elimasia Jotham Lukwaro is a project Officer of Hope Centre Tanzania she is passionate in the wellbeing of adolescent, youth and women by educating them on issues of sexual reproductive health and rights, working and playing the part in eradicating harmful practices like female genital mutilation, early/forced marriage and gender-based violence. She has worked to ensure young women and women access equal services and information on health and in economic development issues.
Among the recent activities, she has participated concerning adolescent and young women are the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD)@25 youth caravan whereby through the caravan youth voices were collected from 12 regions of Tanzania and incorporated in the Government a document that was presented during the ICPD Nairobi Summit.
Ms. Lukwaro is competent in developing and motivating teams and stakeholders to do better and to drive continuous improvements across a range of work activities. She has a track record of coming up with practical improvement initiatives which enhance the overall effectiveness of various organizations, she also motivates men engagement towards achieving equal SRHR.
